Creativity as part of rehabilitation

In collaboration with the Zurich Children’s Hospital, the Kunsthaus is developing an annual programme of workshops for children and young people in the hospital.

The series kicked off in 2025 with artist Monster Chetwynd at the Affoltern Rehabilitation Clinic. Together with performers and the clinic and school teams, she created an energetic workshop that gave young patients a special encounter with art – and a brief respite from their daily therapy routine.

Within a short space of time, the room was transformed: the children and young people immersed themselves in the materials prepared by Monster Chetwynd, threading, shaping and creating. At the end, they proudly presented their artworks, with smiles on their faces – a moment that moved everyone present.
