Connect

Connect is a dance project for people with neurological challenges such as Parkinson's disease or multiple sclerosis.

At the heart of Connect is the joy of movement – regardless of dance experience or physical ability.

In regular dance sessions, participants move together with professional dance artists. Through simple movement impulses, improvisation and music, moments of expression and togetherness emerge. The focus is not on performance or getting the steps right, but on experiencing one's own body in a new way.

The project connects dance with scientific insights. Studies show that movement, music and rhythm can have a positive impact on wellbeing, body awareness and social experience. Connect draws on these approaches and translates them into an artistic offering.

Connect demonstrates how art and medicine can work together – and how creative programmes can support people in staying active and feeling part of a community.
